EnukindTM is indicated in cases of nocturnal enuresis (bed wetting, involuntarily emptying out of the bladder) which can be of psychosomatic origin (fear, frights, small worries, insult, anger & rage) or which can be due to a functional disturbance, e.g., weakness of the sphincter muscle of the urinary tract.
In negligible percentage worms are also the cause. Bedwetting due to worms is easily detected and immediately controlled by use of proper anthelmintic; excessive drinking before sleeping, urinary tract infections, urogenital anomalies are other possible causes.
EnukindTM controls bedwetting of nervous origin where functional weakness of sphincter muscle of bladder may or may not be present.
The administration of EnukindTM allows to counter the situation of incontinence in the child in a very short time because of its regulatory effect on sphincter muscles and in the psychosomatic sphere where it modulates and opposes the unexpected stimuli of micturition.

Proven indications of the individual ingredients in the sphere of claimed action :
Ferrum phosphoricum: It is indicated for nocturnal enuresis from weakness of sphincter, child is pale and anaemic and has frequent desires to urinate.
Atropinum:It has been found useful in frequent, scanty nocturnal enuresis (bedwetting) in many cases.
Acidum phosphoricum: Mental and physical debility (causing urination at night) of nervous origin are covered.
Kreosotum: Indicated forinvoluntary urination during first part of the night. Child dreams he or she is urinating in a decent manner. Urine is offensive. Wets bed at night, wakes with urge, but cannot retain urine.
Staphysagaria:Nervousness with marked irritability affecting the genito urinary function resulting in involuntary urination (bedwetting in children), frequent urge to urinate and the child passes urine frequently and is unable to retain urine, causing bedwetting are covered by this drug.
Petroselinum sativum:It lowers the irritability of muscles controlling urination and thus improves the capacity to control the bladder.
Tabacum: Weakness of sphincter is controlled thus minimising the annoying symptoms of bedwetting.
Dosage : Unless otherwise prescribed by the physician, in acute cases 2-5 globules every half hour. Once the symptoms are reduced, 3 globules 3 times a day until the symptoms disappear (to be given 15 minutes before food intake). If complaints are not relieved, consult a specialist.
